OBJECTIVE:
Create a scalable E-Commerce web site for a camping
and sporting goods store chain. The site's purpose is to recreate
an in-store shopping experience. The site is to display all
of the merchandise available in a clear and crisp manner. Users
can search through merchandise by selected categories. Users
can add/remove/update items in their cart during their shopping
experience. INVOLVEMENT:
Responsible for programming the entire site and developing
an expandable database schema. I created dynamic navigation
which can be modified by the administrator of the system.
Develop product selections, details, and searchable features.
The administration system engineered for this project is an
exhaustive, yet easy to use, tool for the site operator to
control numerous aspects of the sites content. Some of the
features include full product control, mailing lists, promotional
codes, and more. I set up tracking features to track users
as they navigate the site including top product selections
and purchases, clickstream data, and similar items to viewed.
